The District has adopted policy and standards compliant with the California Education Code (sections 51930-51939). The current text used in classroom discussion excludes information about FDA approved and effective pregnancy prevention methods. However, it does clearly outline the benefits of condom use for the prevention of HIV transmission among sexually active couples.
